Student charter

The standards you can expect from Iroko.

This charter explains how we counsel students, communicate commercial relationships, protect information and support informed decisions.

01

Your decision

We explain realistic options and help you compare them. You decide where and what to study, whether to apply and which offer to accept.

02

Relevant options

Recommendations begin with your education, language ability, ambitions, budget and preferred study experience—not a one-size-fits-all shortlist.

03

Honest relationships

We tell you when we have a formal institutional relationship or use an application aggregator. We do not claim to represent an institution where no such relationship exists.

04

Clear costs

We explain what our service covers, any third-party costs and when a provider or service partner may pay us commission. Commercial relationships do not remove your right to make an informed choice.

05

Authentic evidence

We require complete, accurate and genuine information. We do not falsify, alter, conceal or knowingly submit misleading documents.

06

Respect and privacy

We provide support without unfair discrimination, handle personal information carefully and maintain a clear route for feedback and complaints.

Our responsibilities

Clear guidance, without taking away your control.

  • Explain the scope and limitations of our service
  • Use current institutional and official information wherever reasonably possible
  • Correct material errors promptly when they are identified
  • Disclose relevant commercial relationships or manageable conflicts
  • Respect confidentiality and our published privacy notice
  • Handle genuine complaints fairly and without unfavourable treatment

Your responsibilities

A strong application depends on accurate cooperation.

  • Provide complete, accurate and authentic information
  • Tell us promptly when relevant circumstances change
  • Read and approve information before an application is submitted
  • Meet institution, testing and other third-party deadlines
  • Read the terms attached to offers, payments and accommodation
  • Pay institutions and official bodies only through verified channels
  • Make your own final course, institution and financial decisions

The standards informing this charter

Our approach is designed around the principles of integrity, objectivity, professional competence, transparency, confidentiality and student-centred practice reflected in the UK's education-agent quality framework and National Code of Ethical Practice.

Our counselling team includes an individually trained UK counsellor. Individual training does not constitute British Council accreditation or endorsement of Iroko Education Partners Limited. Read more through the British Council's official agent and counsellor resources.

See our fees and refund policy, privacy notice, terms of service and complaints process for further details.
